I P E X offers a vast assortment of investment reports that address a broad range of investment related issues, including performance, allocation, style and cash flow. These reports are normally available in two varieties: multi-manager reports (which show the performance or positioning of all of the managers or sub-accounts side by side) and individual account reports (which present a more detailed current and historical analysis of one segment of the portfolio). A representative sample of reports* is summarized below.

Market Value Changes

This report provides a complete analysis of changes in the account's market value over both current and historical time periods. The report explains the factors that account for the difference between the account's beginning market value and ending market value for each period. The changes are broken down into two categories, "Cash Flow" (e.g., Contributions and Distributions) and Investment Performance (e.g., Principal Appreciation and Income Generated). While most of the I P E X reports analyze an account's performance on a percentage basis, this report provides a clear picture of the account's market value and cash flow in dollar terms.

Total Account Performance

I P E X offers a wide variety of performance reports. This report tracks the performance of an entire portfolio (the total return of all portfolio holdings, i.e., equities, fixed income and cash), against both a Primary Benchmark and a Reference Benchmark. The actual return numbers and variances are listed for a number of current and historical time periods, including both trailing periods and calendar years. The report is designed to help clients appreciate  long-term patterns of performance and to place current account performance, both absolute and relative, in a much broader context.

Multi-Manager Performance Summary

This report tracks the performance of all of the money managers and mutual funds that are handling portions of the account. The performance of each manager and fund is shown on both an absolute basis and in relation to its own specific Primary Benchmark.  The performance of the managers and funds, as well as their benchmarks, is presented for all relevant time periods. In addition, the report summarizes the performance of the separate equity and fixed income components of the account as well as the account overall.

Asset Allocation

This report summarizes the account's current asset allocation, in both dollar and percentage terms, as of the date of the report, and presents these figures in relation to the account's target allocation. Historical information is also provided both with respect to a number of discrete time periods, as well as average allocation percentages over different time spans. Charts and graphs present the information in an easy to follow format that enables clients to quickly grasp their current position, as well as see how the positioning of their account has changed over time.

Multi-Manager Sector Diversification - Equity

This report provides a percentage breakdown, according to a uniform system of sector classification, of the current equity holdings of all money managers and mutual funds that are handling portions of the account. The sector breakdown of the entire account is also shown on an aggregate basis, and these figures are presented in relation to the sector breakdown of the Russell 3000, a generally recognized proxy for the broad U.S. equity markets. This report enables clients to see both the diversification of their individual managers and funds, as well as how their entire account is positioned in relation to the broad market.
